When Fritz Henkel founded the Henkel company 129 years ago, he had little money, but he had a grand vision: to create products that make people’s lives simpler and easier. He succeeded in this most impressively with the world’s very first self-acting detergent that put an end to women’s wash-day drudgery. This was an idea that catapulted a 3-man business into a global group that is now represented in over 75 countries.
